I started my career shooting candid B&W photography on 35mm film, obsessively working in the dark rooms burning and dodging my own work. When I picked up digital DSLR’s I began shooting low budget promos for local bands up in Newcastle and random art pieces such as setting a grand piano on fire and kicking it off a roof.
I promise there was a deeper meaning behind it and it looked great in slow motion.
12 years later - I’m now London based with over a decade of experience as a DOP working between Feature films, TV dramas (NETFLIX & Amazon Prime), Commercials (The Royal Navy), Music Videos and feature length Documentaries (NETFLIX). I recently shot short film ‘MAXAKALI or The Dance of a Lifetime’ out in Lisbon that has just won best cinematographer at TMFF 2024.
My most recent work as a DOP includes: 8x 45’ episode TV drama ‘TESTAMENT: Series 1’ to be released 2025, Feature Films, ‘Parallel’ & ‘Young Gun’ and in the past I have also worked as 2nd Unit DOP on many other features & TV series.
I live with my wife, new born son and extremely fluffy, malting frenzy pomsky - Baloo!
