The Sprint King - RED Epic Dragon and Cooke S4i Lens

I’m a Yorkshire born and bred lad but have been based in London now for over 8 years. I usually film in the UK but have been fortunate to have my work take me all over the world to countries such as Diego Garcia, Costa Rica, Norway, Bahrain and Spain.

Cinematography started for me using 35mm film cameras, dodging and burning for hours on end under the Red lights of the dark rooms. Until one day I decided I wanted to see more, so begun shooting short films and music videos for local bands on my DSLR camera.

Since then I have grown in my profession confidently using multiple cameras, lenses and all sorts of lighting, this leading me to shooting award winning short films, commercials, documentaries, music videos and EPK’s.

“I had the pleasure of working with James on a production for The Royal Marines, which saw us filming in the most remote of locations. He was an absolute star and a pleasure to be around. The job was challenging and at times far from ideal, yet he never complained and was such a positive force. You need people like that when the (metaphorical) bullets are flying. He has such great energy and never stopped running to make sure he got the best shots for the films we were making. I wholeheartedly recommend James and thoroughly enjoyed working with him, I’m sure if you book him you will too”. - Bradley Woodus: WCRS Producer
